I'm a horrible Blogger. Life just sometimes get in the way.

Halloween was a blast! Jenna was a witch, and Tyler was a pumpkin. We did all we could to try to get him to be SpiderMan or SuperMan but nope. He wanted to be a pumpkin. They got loads and loads of candy, which will last us till next Halloween.

I wanna give a BIG shout out to my big Sista, Krista who celebrated her 32nd Birthday yesturday!!! I miss her lot's and lot's and wished we lived closer to eachother. I also want to wish my Dad a Happy 60th Birthday for tomorrow!! Wish I could be there to cook you a Birthday meal, like I do every year. It really sucks living far away from family, especially on special occasions.

I've been dreading tomorrow. Craig is having another surgery to try and fix his collar bone. He broke it last Jan 2nd while we were gone away for a few days skiing. He's been in so much pain and tomorrow the pain will start over again :( I'll tell you about the trouble he's had with it since he broke it another time. Just asking for everyone to keep him in your thoughts tomorrow.

I think that might be it for now. There's not much to talk about when you don't have a very exciting life! LOL

NKOTB!!!

So as most of us grown women who would idolize The New Kids in our teeny bopper days know, They have made a come back!!! I'm sad to say though that I haven't heard any of their new songs. But anywho! I do believe one of my first childhood friends in Gander where I grew up, Kerri Ann saw them in concert not long ago. Sorry Kerri Ann if you never and if you never, why am I thinking you did? LOL. I'm not getting mixed up with the Elton John concert, which I know you saw right? But anyways.

I want you to read what one of my friends Toni wrote about them! She recently brought her son with her to Texas this past weekend to see them. I always thought this girl was nuts, now i'm certain!!! Mommy and Daughter shopping night!

When Craig came home from work today me and Jenna decided to go out for a bit of Mommy/ Daughter shopping. She has been saving up her allowance and loves the Claires store, so I asked her if she wanted to go buy herself something. Seeing I had to bring my wedding band in to be checked (for warrenty) I figured I would leave it to be cleaned while we shopped.

Jenna just melts my heart. She was so cute looking at all of the little nik nak's asking how much this was and that was. She finally picked out yet another Hanna Montana thing. I told her she could buy something else if she wanted, she looked around but then realized that she was paying for this out of her own money so she was happy enough with one item. She took her wallet out of her purse (of course she had to sit on the floor to do this. lol). The lady rang her thing in and it came to only $5 something!!! It was on sale for half price!!! That's when I got excited. haha

We left and went to the Dollar store and she bought herself some funky pencils and Tyler a toy Hammer.

It was time to go get my rings (my wedding band and engagment ring are joined together). She hands them to me all sparkly clean. then she hands me another engagment ring. A very beautiful ring .................that's not mine! I could of took it! Seriously, if I had been the wrong person I could of said thank you and left with my ring and this other VERY nice ring. I'm just lucky that she hadn't given my rings to someone else. I could be ringless right now!!!

Presents.....

A few night's ago, you'll never guess what I found myself doing. Wrapping Christmas Presents! Yep, I was wrapping gifts in October. You may think that I'm eager for Christmas to arrive, nope. Not yet anyways. One thing I despise the most is wrapping gifts. It hurts my back, hurts my neck, not to mention I keep misplacing the tape or the scissors. I just don't like doing it. I end up just slapping the paper on the gifts. Every year I leave all of the wrapping to be done at one time. Not anymore! I wrap almost half of the kids gifts!!! So proud of myself! LOL. I quickly got tiered of wrapping so I put it all away for another day.

When do you wrap your gifts? As you buy? Or all at once? Do you make them all fancy?

Oh Oh! I have a little movie review for you.

I watched The "Sex and The City" movie today! The reason why I'm telling you about this movie is because I have Never watched not one episode of the show when it was being aired. I had zero interest in it. I also had no desire to watch the movie either. Today however, Craig was working and the kids were at my Mother In Laws. I was flicking through the channels and saw the movie was playing (we have satellite). I flicked it on, and got so entranced in it! It is such a good movie! I highly recommend you watch it. It's more of a chick flick though, so you boys probably won't enjoy it. I know my hubby would never watch it.

Lookie Lookie To What Greeted Me This Morning!

SNOW! I want to crawl in a hole and stay there until Mother Nature decides that she's going to start being nicer to Newfoundland. Luckily it has since melted, but it's still freezing and the snow will come again, and again, and again, and well you get the picture. Soon we will have more snow then we know what to do with. The kids love it, but nope not me. The picture doesn't do it justice at all. My camera isn't good for taking pics for things like that. The first picture is how Tyler spend a half and hour or so. Sitting and watching.

Speaking of camera's. I would love to own a NICE camera. One that comes with different lenses and take beautiful pictures. I think it's my secret passion. Then i'd have to learn how to use it. LOL.

I spent the evening at the kitchen with my sewing machine (yes, I dragged it out of my closet. Where it's been for a few years). I cannot wait to share with you all what I was making. It is the cutest thing. I can't put a picture up here because I was making my Best Friend (Vicky) her Christmas gift! And I don't want her to see it. I also made one for her oldest daughter and am making one each for her other two beautiful daughter's. If any MomDot girls want to see just let me know and i'll post a pic on the Forum!

So Relaxing

It's just me, myself and I here for a little R&R. Craig is working a night shift (7pm-7am), and the kids are in bed. It's cold outside, i'm curled up on the couch watching Oprah and I have the fire lit. I took a picture to show you, but it didn't come out very good, i'll post it anyways. I think the only thing I like about cold weather is nights like this. It just feels so cozy.

To change the subject. It amazes me how much Jenna learns in school. She's in grade 2 now and besides the basic spelling, math, reading etc... she just finnished learning about the solar system. While Tyler was watching Little Einstien tonight which was about planets, she was telling me what planet was what. I remember learning that stuff in grade 5, I think it was. She told me she needs an astronaut suite so she can go to space. My daughter the Astronaut, it has a good ring to it don't you think?

Cold!!!

Sorry, let me rephrase that. FREEZING! I'm frozen, I hate cold weather and today is freezing! Just a little whining and complaining for you. I don't have much really to write about today but I do want to tell you to what I woke up to at 5am in the morning. I'm a sound sleeper, I don't hear anything (except an occasional call out to Mom from the kiddies). We sleep with a HUGE fan on in our room and it's very noisey. I woke up at 5 am this morning hearing wind and rain absolutely pounding off of the house! Seriously, I was totally freaked out, it doesn't get like that here in Newfoundland. I had to get out of bed to look out of the window. It was crazy!!! I can't even describe it. Tyler has a huge ride on escavator (sp) trackor thingy and it had blown in the neighbours yard. Pretty exciting for me. haha. I really was amazed.

Sorry to bore you with my eventfull night. Just a little note though... The Rubber Gloves made a come back!!!! Jenna and Tyler are happily (and quietly) giving eachother "High fives" with blown up rubber gloves at the moment.

Rubber Gloves!!!

My children fight. I think the reason why they are on this planet is to test my patience to see just how much yelling, screaming, and crying I can really handle. They don't get along.....ever.

I am now the proud owner of two pairs of rubber gloves aka my babysitter! You just blow them up, give them to the kids and they play quietly together! I've decided to not give the kids Christmas presents, they will each get a box of gloves! (it would be nice). I'm willing to put money on it that the novelty will wear off very very soon. The picture above was taken this morning while trying to get a moments peace before Jenna left for school. It worked!

Happy October 1st!!

Happy October 1st to everyone! What's so special about today? Nothing. Just trying to make the best of it. As of 2:30 pm today my Dad no longer lives in the same town as me or the same province. My whole life he has been near me. Do you ever have the feeling like as if something is missing? That's how I feel. We didn't see eachother every day or even talk everyday, but he was there to see if needed. Know what I mean? I had such an empty feeling driving by his old street after bringing him to the airport today. I took some cute pictures with him and the kids last night. Jenna said "I need a picture with poppy to put on my wall". She's heartbroken he's gone. It's all apart of life right!? I'm sure it will get easier, he could be a lot further away....

Not much to say tonight. My Dad is spending tonight and tomorrow night at our house, and leaving Wed afternoon for NB.... I'm busy working, being a Mom and then trying to figure out what to do with all of my Dad's stuff which he is leaving here for me. Which might I add is AWSOME! I've decided to keep most of his stuff and get rid of our stuff, seeing his stuff was better! I'm pretty upset about him moving, it's really hitting me now. I had a small breakdown yesturday cleaning his house, which just happens to be the house I grew up in. So many memories.

Turkey Anyone?

It's 9:03 pm and I just finished cooking a turkey, and all of that yummy stuff!!! Am I nuts? Nope! I just wanted to make my Dad 1 last good home cooked meal before he leaves to move to Moncton on Wednesday :( I figured I would cook it tonight because all day tomorrow i'll be cleaning his house and when we get hungry we could just come to my place and warm it up. Damn i'm smart! More about my Dad moving ( crying) in a few days... I hope everyone an as productive days as I did!!!

A Little Meet & Greet With Your's Truely!

Just thought i'd tell you all abit about myself! I'm Lea! I am 29, and will be turning ~ ~~~~ yep! 29 again in March of next year. :) I've been Married to my hubby, Craig for only almost 3 months. Although we've been together for 10 years this coming January. We finally broke down and took the plunge. We (yes, me and he) have Two gorgeous, gorgeous children. I often wonder how I became so blessed to have such cuties. Of course other time's I wonder what did I ever do to deserve these monster's!!! Jenna our oldest, will be the BIG 7 on Christmas Day (no matter how hard I tried she just wouldn't stay in any longer). Mr. Man aka Tyler, will be the not quite as big 4 on January, 21!

Were living in the cold, isolated Newfoundland, Canada. Ok, ok it's not THAT bad, but could be a whole lot better. But it's home (for now, I soooo would love to move) and were making the best of it.

"BLOGGING FOR DUMMIES"

Ever here of it? Well, i’m sure somewhere in this HUGE world we live in there’s one around somewhere, and I NEED it!!! Basically, this is a test blog. I’ve been meaning to try this out for a while and finally have attempted it! YAY ME! Now i’m not quite sure if i’m up to the task.
